Founded in the XIII century, the Monastery of Santa Maria degli Angeli became during the Renaissance one of the major cultural centres in Tuscany.
The present volume – fourth in the series of 'Quaderni dell'Ufficio Restauri' – is devoted to the frescoes painted in one of the cloisters in the beginning of the XVIIth century. Damaged by the flood in '66 they are now restored andput back in their original place.
