Patiently catalogued by Sonia Chiodo, a young and brilliant art history scholar and docent of the University of Florence, the Corsi Collection has finally seen the publication of a selection of the over six-hundred canvases, of which it is composed.


The collection was donated in 1938 by the Corsi family to the Commune of Florence and is located on the second floor of the Stefano Bardini Museum; its history is interwoven with the Bardini legacy, as it followed the same destiny.



The catalogue is introduced by Antonella Nesi, who, with immense passion and dedication, curates the Collection; it is furnished with critical text and beautiful illustrations, making it the first step towards helping the collection escape from temporary oblivion, that which Federico Zeri defined as "a gathering of great value, for it represents a collection in and of itself and a testimony of taste and of collecting".
